Product Overview
3008 is the Enhanced Main Processor Module (MP) manufactured by Triconex (Schneider Electric) for the classic Tricon TMR fault-tolerant safety instrumented system.
As the core computing unit of the Tricon rack, it adopts Triple Modular Redundant (2oo3 voting) architecture. It executes user safety control logic, collects measurement and status data from all I/O modules via TriBus, processes limit algorithms and protection interlock functions, and uploads operating data to plant monitoring systems.
It is widely applied in SIL3-certified ESD emergency shutdown systems, turbine machinery protection, burner management and critical process safety control. It fits in classic Tricon main chassis and works with communication modules such as 3500/92.
