Product Overview
3564 is a 16-Channel Isolated Digital Input Module manufactured by Triconex (Schneider Electric) for the classic Tricon TMR Fault-Tolerant Safety Instrumented System.
It adopts Triple Modular Redundant (2oo3) architecture. The module acquires binary position signals from field switches, circuit breakers and contact devices, performs signal filtering and status conversion, then transmits data to main processors via TriBus backplane bus.
With galvanic isolation between field side and rack backplane, it effectively suppresses ground loop noise in strong electromagnetic environments. Certified to IEC 61508 SIL3, widely used for sequence-of-event signal acquisition in ESD systems, turbine control and burner management.
Important note: 3564 belongs to classic Tricon platform, cannot be used on Tricon CX (8120X) racks.

Key Features
- Independent triple redundant acquisition channels; single path fault will not cause loss of signal collection
- Full galvanic isolation eliminates ground loop interference, ideal for power plant and petrochemical turbine cabinets
- Built-in channel diagnostics to detect field circuit open circuit and abnormal status
- Adjustable signal debounce filter prevents signal jitter caused by contact bounce
- Supports high-resolution time stamping for sequence-of-events (SOE) fault analysis
- Hot-swap design allows module replacement without shutting down the safety rack
- Mechanically keyed housing prevents misinstallation of incompatible I/O modules
- Contrast: 3504E is non-isolated DI module; 3564 is isolated upgraded version with stronger anti-interference performance
