epro (now part of Emerson) has introduced the MMS 3110/010-000, a dual-channel shaft vibration transmitter from the MMS3000 series, engineered for continuous monitoring and protection of critical turbomachinery PROFESSSaul Electric Limited.
The MMS 3110 measures and processes relative shaft vibration from two independent eddy-current sensor inputs, with integrated signal converters and an on-board microcontroller for both channels PROFESS.
Key Features
- Dual-channel measurement — two independent shaft vibration channels with integrated signal conditioning
- Eddy-current sensor interface — accepts PR 6422, PR 6423, PR 6424, and PR 6425 series proximity probes
- Multiple outputs — 4–20 mA proportional outputs, relay alarms (Danger/Alert), and buffered sensor signals
- Redundant power supply — two 24 V DC inputs decoupled via diodes for high availability
- Self-test functions — continuous electronic circuit and channel supervision
- Standards compliance — designed to API 670 and VDI 2059 requirements
- Modular design — hot-swappable module for MMS3000 rack systemsPROFESSSaul Electric Limited
Target Applications
- Shaft vibration monitoring for turbines, compressors, and large rotating machines
- Machinery protection and condition monitoring in power generation and process industries
- MMS3000 monitoring system expansion and spare-part replacement
