GE Vernova has introduced the IS420UCSCH1B, a Universal Control System (UCSC) H1 controller module from the Mark VIe / Mark VIeS control platform, serving as the central computing unit for gas and steam turbine control systems AutoControl Global.
Built around a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor running the QNX Neutrino real-time operating system (6.5/7.1), the controller delivers high-speed deterministic processing for turbine protection and control logic, with support for simplex and dual redundant configurations RS Modules.
Key Features
- Quad-core processing — 1.2 GHz CPU for real-time turbine control and protection
- Real-time OS — QNX Neutrino RTOS with hypervisor support
- Six Ethernet ports — five front panel plus one dedicated bottom port for Predix/EFA connectivity
- Industrial networking — IONet, UDH, TCP/IP, Modbus TCP, and OPC protocols
- Redundancy ready — simplex or dual configurations for high availability
- Robust memory — 4 GB DDR3 SDRAM with nonvolatile variables, totalizers, and forces
- Wide environment range — 24/28 V DC nominal power, rugged industrial temperature tolerance
Target Applications
- GE Mark VIe / Mark VIeS gas and steam turbine control systems
